 To participate in duck hunting in Florida, hunters must adhere to several regulations: Licenses and Permits: A valid hunting license Florida Waterfowl Permit ($5) Federal Duck Stamp ($28.50)

  Bag Limits

 General Duck Season: 6 ducks per day with species-specific limits (e.g., 4 mallards, 3 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 1 pintail, etc.)

  Shooting Hours

 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset Teal and Wood Duck: 6 ducks per day (only 2 can be wood ducks) Teal Only: 6 teal ducks per day

 Special County Regulations

 Some counties, like Leon County and areas around Lake Miccosukee, have additional restrictions such as limited hunting days (Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays

 Tips for a Successful Hunt 

 Wear appropriate camouflage to blend into the environment. Use manual duck calls and decoys effectively, but avoid overusing calls as they can scare ducks away.

  Scouting

  Scout hunting areas at sunrise to observe duck behavior and feeding patterns. Identify moist, plant-rich areas like wetlands, ponds, and marshes which attract ducks
