Materials Needed

Bird bath heater Extension cord Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter Choose the Right Heater:

 Location

 Place the bird bath in a location that is easily accessible and visible to birds, preferably near some cover like bushes or trees.

  Safety First 

 Ensure the electrical outlet you will use is a GFCI outlet to prevent electrical shocks. If you don’t have a GFCI outlet,

 Place the Heater

 Submersible Heater: Place the heater in the center of the bird bath. Ensure it is fully submerged if that’s required by the manufacturer’s instructions.

Connect the Heater

Plug the heater’s cord into an outdoor extension cord if needed. Ensure the extension cord is rated for outdoor use to withstand weather conditions.

 Run the Cord

 Run the extension cord to the GFCI outlet. Make sure the cord is positioned in a way that minimizes the risk of tripping or being damaged.

 Secure the Cord

  If the cord is loose, use clips or stakes to secure it to the ground or another stable surface.

 Turn on the Heater

 Plug the extension cord into the GFCI outlet and turn on the heater. Some heaters have a built-in thermostat
